The Furniture & Art Concierge

Real people connecting real people to joyful homes since 2009.

You are a busy professional, do you really have the time for endless shopping trips?

This is our solution:  Post a full project request.

We contact only the most relevant suppliers.

We don't publish your name, number or email.

They respond with suggestions and why their products are of the highest value.

You sit at home and compare finishing ideas.

Eat goodies, drink something tasty and DESIGN.

Easily draw in family and friends for opinions.

You can't do that filling your phone's picture gallery.

I've seen that, it's labourious.

Then pick your favourite supplier or artist and chat ONLY with them.

Do the math

Most cars use about .12 liters of gas to travel 1 kilometer.

At $2.00 a liter that's $0.24 per kilometer.

Any shopping trip is going to be a good 50 kilometers or $12.00 in gas.

Then there is the inevitable lunch.  Another $30.00 at least.

You'll spent at least $40.00 for one day's journey and then there's parking.

Do that over a month of Sundays and you're spending $160.00 at least.

Ouch.

My cost per project?  $9.99 PLUS TAX.

Seriously, that's it, for one (1) full project,

EVEN IF THE FIRST FEW SUGGESTIONS DON'T WORK OUT.

If you start a new project, there is a new charge.

But the cost doesn't really compare, does it?

A CLIENT STUDY.

The client: A professional couple with a toddler, highly educated in the sciences (the parents not the toddler).

The project:  A custom made dining table, chairs and credenza.

The result:  We sourced pieces from several suppliers, they chose two suppliers.

They would have travelled 300 to 500 kilometres on their own.

Each trip, with an inquisitive toddler in toe, would have been, one retailer a day.

Easily between $250.00 and $420.00 with gas, lunch and parking.

They travelled maybe 50 to make final choices, and the munchkin stayed with grandparents who were thrilled to babysit and ambivalent about new furniture.

The pieces were locally made and delivered with little packaging.

We didn’t save the world, but we helped.
